Hey guys! I am currently sitting at the airport waiting to board my flight to Oklahoma ( I’m originally from Tulsa, OK). So, I figured I would share with you one of my outfits that I absolutely love. This dress actually came to me by accident but i’m so glad it did. Wearing bright colors can be a bit tricky, but if you have the right accessories it can make a world of difference.
A few weeks ago I was doing some online shopping at Old Navy, and I came across this dress but in a different color. It was right up my alley since I like wearing more neutral colors. When my package came I received this mustard yellow color as opposed to the navy. At first, I had put it away to return and then I thought I’ll just try it on. This color is so bold that it can be a bit intimidating. I’ve seen it in stores and never thought twice about even looking at it. Trust me, it looks a million times better when you try it on. A few tips that I recommend when wearing brighter colors are doing a natural makeup look, avoiding any additional brighter colors (with handbags or shoes), and incorporating neutral accessories. I paired this dress with some cognac color wedges and a beige handbag. I wanted the focus to be on the dress without it looking too busy. I’m happy that I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new. I already placed another online order with a few brighter color tops-this could be dangerous because I’m finding a lot more stuff that I like, lol. My favorite colors for spring so far have been coral, mustard yellow, and mint (not all together, haha). What are some of your favorite colors that you like wearing?
Well, my flight is about to take off so I’m going into airplane mode. I hope you all have a great weekend!
